Micayla Patterson

On September 3, 2010, Micayla Patterson died in a car wreck on the way back from a John Mayer concert. When I heard about it that next Saturday I couldn't believe it. Like it still felt like she was still here. I mean I just saw her that Friday walking up the stairs and said hi to her. She as such an amazing person and she let her light shine! She was an amazing person and everyone knew that. She was the type of girl who ALWAYS smiled and always talked to everyone. I had ap chemistry with her last year and I dont know if I could have survived without her. Not that she helped me pass.. but I had so much fun! We had so many good times together. Micayla was actually the one who got me into painting canvas'. She painted one for me and I have it in my room hanging up. She was an amazing, beautiful, and amazing Christian example to me and everyone around her. I miss her smile greatly. But she has inspired me to always be happy and to not take anything for granted because tomorrow isn't promised. Just live life now and always serve Jesus and be the disciple need to be.

Great Weekend

This weekend was a pretty busy weekend. First of all my brother and sister came home! Yay! But Corey brought his group of guy friends and Dustin came also. So I already knew this weekend would be good! Well they all came on Friday and we met them at Guidos. It was great seeing them all home. On Saturday morning I had bowling tryouts! I'm pretty sure I made it, no worries, I'm pretty much a stud. hahha. jk.. Okay I'm not but whatever. Later that day we went to the hog game and we tailgated with the crew. My dad was nice enough to let me go the last home game! He's just too sweet. The bad thing about the game was that it was COLD. I was freezing but it was fun! Sadly, they all left.

But good news! Only like one week till my family Branson trip! YAY! I'm so excited and sooo ready for a break from school and just a fun trip with my whole family!

Speaking of family... My momma and dad and me all went to go bowling! It was so much fun! Just some family bonding.. And yes, they beat me.. They were surprisingly good.. I was shocked! But oh well I'll get better during season. (:

Finally!

I guess you could say that I've been busy or just lazy or I just kind of forgot that I have a blog. The last time I posted was the last day of school. WOW. A lot has gone on since then. I mean of course summer has came and gone and my senior year started and my school volleyball has came and gone and now club ball is starting up. It's been crazy.

 Well this summer was probably one of my busiest summers yet. I was only home and not busy for only about one week in June and July. I went to the beach, Uplift, Reno Nevada, helped with VBS, team camp at MSU, workcamp at Camp Wetoga in Georgia, and finally Green Valley Bible Camp. I don't regret it at all. I probably had the most fun summer everrr. And in the summer Corey and Amy were my interns. I LOVED having my brother as an intern and home all summer pretty much always hanging out with him. Also I met Amy and we became really close. But best of all! I am going to get a new Sisterrr! That was one of the best parts of summer. I'm really excited that I get to have Amber as apart of my family. 

And now I am in my senior year! WAHHOOO! Finally, I've been waiting for this day for about, hmmm, 17 years now? Ya sounds like it. But ya, It has started and almost half over. It's sad how ready I am to be done. I know I shouldn't "wish my senior year away" like my mom and dad says, I'm just ready to be done and go to OC. But it should go by pretty fast with me ALWAYS playing volleyball. Which leads me to school volleyball. Hm. Ya, the season started off pretty rough.. But it got a lot better. The team finally put our talent together and played as a team, and we got 4th in conference. Which led us to the state tournament. The tournament was probably the most fun I've had. I mean the student section was huge! And we just played well. We lost in the semi's to bentonville, but I wasn't sad it was a good last game and a good end to the season. 

Well now to the most recent stuff... Club volleyball. I tried out this weekend but wasn't sure if I was going to play or not because of the players. I didn't know if we had enough players. But we did! So I'm excited to start my season again and travel with my friends! (: 

Last Friday night I had my senior pictures! It is driving me crazy on how I don't know what they look like! I feel like they went well so we will see what they look like.

Well that's all tonight. Maybe I can remember to update and keep up with this whole Blog thing.. Even though no one reads it except Corey.. Sometimes.
